Chikuha Binnai Koh Hakko Junmai Sparkling Sake

£28.00 GBP
    DESCRIPTION

Sparkling Sake has evolved quickly over the last 20 years or so, and this is as good as it gets. This Sparkling uses the secondary fermentation method like Champagne. It's a grown up sake, not too sweet but gives a delicious glass. (This is probably the best Sparkling Sake I have ever had - Chris)

This is a low-alcohol content sake, it is a slightly hazy and cloudy sake brewed with 100% authentic Noto rice. A sparkling Sake with a slightly effervescent feel. Secondary fermentation in the bottle creates a soft foamy feel.

You can enjoy the sourness infused with the fresh fruit juice and the mild sweetness. The soft, fine foam is very tender and gentle, you can enjoy its light and pleasant aftertaste.
It won the highest award trophy in the sparkling Sake category at the 2023 International Wine Challenge. This sake was praised for its "unparalleled, exceptional and unique balance of fine bubbles and light taste''
IWC Tasting note: Fresh fruity nose of pineapple, peach, pear and green apple. A well balanced creamy sparkling with refreshing soft bubbles and layers of peach, melon, apple, pear and grape tones with a tantalising long finish.

The Kazuma Sake Brewery is based in Noto, Ishikawa and has been severely damaged by the recent Earthquake. So they will not be brewing much sake this year. We only have 36 bottles, just delivered. So buy it now.
